Charles Spencer Chaplin, was an English actor and director, also known as Carlitos in Brazil.
Chaplin was born in London in 1889 and began his career as a mime, doing tours to showcase their art.
His most famous character Carlitos was the straggler, oppressed and funny, this character denounced social injustice.
In 1918 at the height of his success, he opened his own film company, and from there made his own screenplays and directed films.
In addition to actor and director Charlie Chaplin was a dancer, writer, musician and producer.
Chaplin died in his sleep due to a stroke on December 27, 1977.
